Developer

We have a great opportunity for a Developer to join our vibrant team in Holbury Southampton. Reporting to the Development Director and working closely with the Southampton based development team. The role will be to primarily support the growth of our product MESH that manages networks and Wi-Fi in flexible work space.

In this role, you should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Produce clean, efficient code based on goals set
  • Integrate with third party software components and APIs
  • Working within a version control environment (Git)
  • Developing on top of an existing code base
  • Gather and evaluate user feedback
  • Recommend and execute improvements
  • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Software Developer or similar role
  • Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
  • Knowledge of C++ and PHP (and background knowledge of JavaScript)
  • Some experience of MVC frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap) and Vuejs
  • Basic knowledge of networking (principles involved in TCP/IP & routing)
  • Ability to learn new languages and technologies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude
  • Attention to detail

Central London Support Engineer

We have a great opportunity for an Central London Support Engineer to join our vibrant team and be based in central London. The job requires a high level of PC skills (with a good knowledge of MS Office). A high degree of accuracy is essential. You must have good communication and organisational skills. Knowledge of programming telephone systems is desirable.

Responsibilities for the Central London Support Engineer are, but not limited to:

  • Receiving, processing and monitoring fault reports.
  • Support to the building managers and customers in all aspects of telecommunications, either over the phone or by site visit.
  • Assist with changes to the phone systems.
  • Assist with router/switch configurations.
  • Assist with telecoms audits.
  • Assist with patching.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Good working knowledge of networking, firewalls and practical TCP/IP
  • Experience with programming traditional PBX and hosted VOIP telephony
  • Clear understanding of different internet connection technologies (ADSL, leased line, etc)
  • Experience with a support desk ticketing system, working to SLA and prioritising / escalating jobs
  • Experience with patching in a comms room environment
  • Experience in an IT support / helpdesk role

Additional desired skills:

  • Practical experience / understanding of VLANs
  • Experience with Cisco equipment
  • Experience with wireshark or similar technical troubleshooting tools

Assistant Management Accountant

We have a great opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our vibrant team in Holbury Southampton. Reporting to the Commercial Director but working closely with our remote Management Accountant Team in Watford and the local Accounts Assistant.

Responsibilities for the Assistant Management Accountant are, but not limited to:

  • Raising of sales invoices for sale and rental businesses
  • Working with the Accounts Assistant to manage stock and WIP ledgers and ensure correct recognition of cost of sales
  • Maintenance and reconciliation of company and equipment rental fixed asset registers.
  • Calculation of prepaid income, accruals, prepayments and journals on a monthly basis
  • Monthly & quarterly reconciliation
  • Holiday cover for the Accounts Assistant
  • Liaising with auditors and assisting with year-end queries as required
  • Payroll postings and control
  • Preparation of weekly KPI and operational/debt reports
  • Ad-hoc duties when required

The successful candidate will:

  • Have good computer skills and be confident with Excel.
  • Be able to meet deadlines, work within a team and deal tactfully with professional advisers and staff.
  • Have excellent communication skills to be a bridge between the Watford & Holbury office locations.
  • Be part qualified or be able to clearly demonstrate qualification through experience for this role.
  • Be happy to travel to Watford a minimum of once every month to work with the management accounting team.
  • Have prior knowledge of Sage 200 or demonstrate previous accounting software experience and a good willingness to learn.

Office Administrator

We have a great opportunity for an Office Administrator to join our vibrant team in Holbury Southampton. Reporting to the Commercial Director but working closely with Sales and Operational administrators.

Responsibilities for the Office Administrator are, but not limited to:

  • Organising meetings and managing the office environment
  • Booking transport and accommodation
  • General telephone answering duties
  • Organising company events and conferences
  • Ordering stationery and furniture
  • Liaising with suppliers & customers and managing the order process for some products
  • Greeting and dealing with visitors, guest and contractors attending our office
  • Preparing letters, presentations and reports
  • Implementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systems
  • Managing company vehicles up keep and policies
  • Organising induction programmes for new employees
  • Ensuring that health and safety policies are up to date
  • Assisting the organisation’s HR function
  • Any other similar duties

The successful candidate will:

  • Have strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office
  • Have a good customer facing manner
  • Be able to meet deadlines and work within a team.
  • Have previous experience in a similar role
